Dan Helfrich is a principal and the service area lead for Deloitte's Federal Strategy & Operations and Human Capital practice. He is also the U.S. Human Capital chief strategy and market officer. With more than 12 years experience, he has been instrumental in helping governments implement complex mission programs in areas such as homeland security, e-government and procurement. He is also an expert in the integration of people, process and technology dimensions of change management.
Since the late 1990s, Dan has led large customer-centric transformations for local, state and federal government agencies, including the initial formation of the Transportation Security Administration. Dan writes and speaks regularly on topics of government innovation, large transformation program successes and the future of the government workforce and workplace.
Dan is responsible for leading Deloitte's efforts to bring thought leadership to the future of government workplace and workforce, including the critical topic of capability building. He was an active contributor to Bill Eggers' recent book, If We Can Put a Man on the Moon...Getting Big Things Done in Government and continues to be a leader of change.
Dan holds a bachelors in International Economics from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service and an MBA from Georgetown's Mcdonough School of Business.
