Richard Longstaff has over 20 years of experience in energy, sustainability, investment promotion and business development programs for a wide variety of bilateral, multilateral, public, and private clients. He has more than 10 years of resident in-country experience throughout Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Richard currently leads government reform, renewable energy and natural resource initiatives in Afghanistan, Georgia, Iraq, Indonesia, Jordan, Kosovo and Qatar.
His prior consulting experience includes directing private sector development and economic transformation programs in emerging markets throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia. He has also worked in the South African and Australian mining industries and was responsible for production supervision and engineering management in one of the largest contiguous underground mines.
