Dr. Jorge Daly has 25 years of experience and provides technical supervision to projects related to economic policy, finance and private sector development in countries across the world. He specializes in development projects with a particular emphasis in micro and small and medium enterprise (SME) finance, rural financial markets, commercial bank regulation, SME and microenterprise development, municipal economic development, and business climate reforms.
His work for international development organizations includes projects related to macroeconomic stabilization policies, financial policy reform, international trade and rural micro enterprise finance. Jorge’s experience is inclusive of topics related to competitiveness, such as identification of key policy and institutional constraints, market and industry analysis, gap assessment, and design of sustainable strategies.
He has relevant and significant experience in evaluating how the enabling environment impacts private enterprise expansion in domestic and international markets, particularly of SME and micro enterprises with demonstrated capacity for rapid sales growth and job creation that operate in both urban and rural areas of middle and low income countries.
