Michael McNertney has over 37 years of experience in emerging market economic development, banking, and finance. He has extensive experience in investment and commercial banking in various regions of the globe and has played a leading role in projects focusing on expanding access to finance for micro and small and medium sized enterprises.
As an executive of a major U.S. bank, he worked with a range of indigenous and multi-national corporations in the power, oil and gas, telecommunications, pharmaceutical and pulp and paper industries, as well as with financial and public sector institutions in Latin America and Asia.
As a development consultant, he has worked for a variety of international donors on projects in Latin America, the Middle East, East Asia and Africa.
