Meet Carey Miller
Director, Deloitte & Touche LLP
Ms. Miller is a Director and practice leader in Deloitte’s Federal Cybersecurity organization with direct responsibility for overseeing Deloitte’s strategic expansion and targeted office opening in the Huntsville / Madison County area. In addition to serving as the on-the-ground senior business leader and key relationship manager for all current and future small business partners in the Huntsville / Madison County community, Ms. Miller leads local market development and penetration activities across all of Deloitte’s market offerings, and manages the entire business pipeline for the region. She is currently executing a recruiting plan for the Huntsville / Madison County office to ensure that Deloitte capitalizes on the local workforce capabilities while continuing to leverage experienced resources from other locations.
Over the past 14 years, Ms. Miller has successfully built a $10M+ business practice in the burgeoning area of Identity, Credential and Access Management (ICAM) to support the Deloitte Federal organization. The depth and breadth of her skill-set includes deep expertise in management consulting, strategy and policy, change management, requirements gathering, biometric development strategies, program management, configuration management, application development, business process reengineering, and executive coaching.
The Federal ICAM team that Ms. Miller led includes over two hundred subject matter experts in ICAM-related disciplines such as Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-12 and Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 201, public key infrastructure, credentialing, provisioning, and access management technologies. Her proven leadership directing numerous strategic and large-scale government Identity Management programs – including the General Services Administration (GSA) FICAM Roadmap and Implementation Guidance in support of the Federal CIO Council, the US Marine Corps Identity and Access Management implementation, GSA CIO’s ICAM program management office, Veterans Health Administration’s Social Security Number Reduction Program, and the Department of Defense’s Common Access Card Program Office – illustrates her ability to successfully manage sophisticated and cutting-edge engagements.
Ms. Miller also led the development of the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace, signed by President Obama, as well as the Strategy’s implementation through an engagement with the Department of Commerce; and she currently manages a large ICAM implementation within the Federal Government. As a direct result of her exemplary efforts, Ms. Miller was nominated for and received the prestigious “FCW Federal Top 100” award in 2011.
