Ron McMorran has over 25 years’ experience advising on economic, revenue, and public finance policy and administration. He has advised several governments on fiscal and tax policy, budget planning and strategy, and inter-governmental fiscal relations, in countries such as Bahrain, Ghana, Jamaica, Jordan, Kosovo, Mongolia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Qatar, Rwanda, and Tanzania.
Ron is currently Chief of Party for a donor-funded project leading a team of technical advisors who are undertaking fiduciary risk assessments of governmental and non-governmental entities, supply chain control environment assessments for pharmaceutical commodities, providing analysis and advice for strengthening national and local government revenue policy and administration and reporting on leading practices in public financial management and revenue mobilization. He led the tax policy team under a fiscal reform program in Jordan dealing specifically with analysis and reform implementation of income tax, sales tax, non-tax revenue policy and special economic zone tax incentives.
An experienced trainer, Ron led the delivery of international donor-sponsored seminars in Sub-Saharan Africa and researched tax and expenditure measures and fiscal reform experiences in facilitate of sustainable development. Ron has a Masters in Economics from the University of Alberta.
