Meet David L. Brant
David L. Brant, Director, Deloitte Consulting LLP
David L. Brant is a director with Deloitte Consulting LLP. In this role, he applies his exceptional leadership skills and experience to support public and private sector organizations in the areas of homeland security and criminal justice.
David is a globally recognized leader in the law enforcement community, having spent more than three decades in the field. He joined the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) in 1977, and held numerous positions of increasing prominence before he was appointed director by Secretary of the Navy John Dalton in 1997.
As the NCIS director, David guided the agency through an unprecedented time of development and transformation, punctuated by the attack on the USS Cole and the events of September 11, 2001. He was responsible for creating the NCIS Multiple Threat Alert Center, organizing the Combating Terrorism Directorate, and for numerous information-sharing initiatives.

David received his bachelor's degree in psychology from Bradley University and his master's degree in criminology from Indiana State University. He is a graduate of the Senior Executive Course at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
He is based in Washington, D.C.
