Mission effectiveness depends on awareness, participation, coordination and collaboration across multiple entities – either within the same organization or across multiple organizations. Providing end users and decision makers with real-time access to information, a common understanding of how to handle situations, and the ability to capture and analyze data and collaborate on its meaning will ultimately lead to improved mission effectiveness. Many commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products provide one or two of these capabilities but none offers an integrated and comprehensive solution that provides users with perceptions into situations, a comprehension of their meaning and a projection of their status using predictive analysis.
