Nomination:

The 2011 nomination process is now closed.
Nominations for the 2012 program will be accepted in April 2012.

Geographic boundaries:

Pennsylvania east of Harrisburg, New Jersey south of Princeton, and Delaware

Eligibility Requirements:

Be in business a minimum of five years.
Be headquartered within Greater Philadelphia (Pennsylvania east of Harrisburg, New Jersey south of Princeton, Delaware).
a) Subsidiaries or divisions are not eligible unless they have some public ownership and are separately traded.
Fiscal year 2006 operating revenues must be least $50,000 and fiscal year 2010 operating revenues must be least $5,000,000.
a) For Rising Stars, fiscal year 2008 operating revenues must be at least $50,000 and fiscal year 2010 operating revenues must be at least 5,000,000.
b) Companies are required to submit audited financial statements or pages 1 & 2 of signed federal tax return as submitted to the IRS (Internal Revenue Service).
Must own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues.
a) Using other companies technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify.
b) Consulting companies, professional service firms, etc. are not eligible unless they have proprietary technology.

Timeline of Events:

Nomination period: April - June 2011
Fast 50 winning companies announced: September 2011
Award Ceremony: October 18, 2011 (invite only)
