Stacy Janiak is the vice chairman and U.S. Retail leader at Deloitte LLP, a national practice that provides audit, tax, financial advisory and consulting services to retail, wholesale and distribution companies.
The national Retail practice consists of more than 1,000 professionals and is one of the largest sector practices at Deloitte. In her role, Stacy is responsible for overseeing the practice, leading the development of operating and service initiatives and working with senior management of the organizations’ leading clients.
For 17 years, she has been actively involved in major client assignments within the industry, providing audit, internal control, merger and acquisition due diligence and other specialized services to Fortune 500 companies. Her duties include consulting with clients and accounting regulatory bodies on the implementation of complex reporting and accounting matters affecting the retail industry.
Stacy spearheads initiatives to enhance Deloitte’s position in the marketplace and is a preeminent spokesperson on retail trends in the media. In addition, Stacy is very active in professional and community initiatives, including serving as the ambassador and former regional chairperson of the Network of Executive Women (NEW) in the Twin Cities. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Retail Federation’s Associate Member Advisory Council, and the Minnesota and Illinois CPA Societies.
Stacy received her B.S. in Commerce from DePaul University, and is a former adjunct professor of auditing for her alma mater.
