Meet Dorothy L. AlpertVice Chairman and National Sector Leader – Real Estate |

Dorothy Alpert is the U.S. leader of Deloitte's real estate practice.
Dorothy has 25 years of professional experience, including 20 years in real estate. Dorothy has been involved in advising some of our most significant clients on a broad variety of real estate issues, including property value and performance, portfolio and financing structures, development, workouts, transaction support and implementation, organizational assessment, business improvement and relocation. Dorothy is a Trustee and member of the Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute, a Board Associate of National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and a member of the President’s Council of the Real Estate Roundtable.
She is an active member of her community through involvement in numerous civic organizations. Of particular note is her involvement as a Board member, Treasurer and member of the Executive and Finance Committees of the New 42nd Street, which is the non-profit organization that oversees the redevelopment of seven historic theaters on 42nd Street in New York City.
Dorothy earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics at Bates College and her master of business administration degree in finance from Fordham University.
