Meet Sean Cunniff

Investment Management Research Leader, Deloitte Center for Financial Services

Sean Cunniff is the head of private equity, hedge funds, and mutual funds research for the Deloitte Center for Financial Services. In this role, Sean is responsible for driving eminence and thought leadership for the Investment Management practice. Sean most recently served as a senior vice president for SunGard Financial Systems Wealth & Retirement business where he led and managed multiple product lines. Prior to SunGard, Sean was a research director for the brokerage and wealth management practice at CEB|Tower Group where he provided research, advisory, and consulting services to financial institutions and technology vendors. While at CEB|TowerGroup, Sean's marketplace eminence included frequent placement in top tier and industry media including The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Investment News, American Banker, Ignites, and FundFire.

Before joining CEB|TowerGroup, Sean served as the director, distribution and investments, for AARP Financial where he developed and managed mutual funds and related services and as a vice president of product management for JPMorgan Chase where he was the lead product manager for an offering targeting IRA rollover assets. Sean has also held product management and development roles at John Hancock Financial Services and Fidelity Investments.

Sean is a graduate of Boston College and Suffolk University Law School. He is a Certified Financial Planner and a licensed attorney in the state of Massachusetts.
