Jim Eckenrode Jim Eckenrode is the Executive Director of the Deloitte Center for Financial Services, where he is responsible for defining and guiding the marketplace positioning and development of the Center’s eminence and key activities. Prior to joining Deloitte, Jim served as the Banking Research Executive at The Tower Group. He joined Tower Group in 1998 and held other senior roles during his tenure. His thought leadership background includes publishing on topics such as Web services / service oriented architecture, customer experience, the future of banking, top-trend initiatives, financial regulation, and overall trends and directions in financial services. Adam Schneider Adam Schneider is a principal in our Financial Services consulting practice and serves as the Chief Advisor of the Deloitte Center for Financial Services. Headquartered in New York City, the Center provides insight and research to help improve the business performance of global financial institutions. Adam is also Deloitte’s Regional lead for Banking and Securities, responsible for organizing our professional services to a portfolio of major financial institution clients in the Northeast. Donald G. Ogilvie Don Ogilvie, former president and CEO of the American Bankers Association (ABA) for 20 years, now leads the Center as its Independent Chairman. A highly respected leader in the industry, Don has extensive knowledge of the Federal legislative landscape as well as the international banking markets. Howard Mills Howard Mills, former Superintendent of the New York State Insurance Department, is Chief Advisor with the Deloitte Center for Financial Services and Deloitte LLP’s insurance industry group, where he works with both U.S. and global insurance clients in solving their most challenging problems, on issues such as growth, globalization, regulatory issues and managing the complexities of compliance. Val Srinivas Val Srinivas is the Head of Research for the Deloitte Center for Financial Services. In his role, Val works closely with the Center and the extended financial services team to support and continue the development of our thought leadership initiatives in the financial services industry, coordinating our various research efforts and helping to differentiate Deloitte more effectively in the market place. Sam Friedman Sam Friedman is the Insurance Leader for Deloitte Research at Deloitte’s Center for Financial Services, putting his journalistic skills and three decades of industry experience to good use analyzing the latest trends and identifying the major challenges confronting the property-casualty and life insurance industries. He joined Deloitte in October 2010 after 29 years at National Underwriter P&C, where he served as Editor-In Chief, running the day-to-day editorial and research operations of NU’s weekly newsmagazine and daily online news service, while offering commentary via his award-winning column and blog, “A View From The Press Box.” Sam was also Group Editor-in-Chief of the Property & Casualty Media Division at NU’s parent company, Summit Business Media, overseeing American Agent & Broker, Claims, Florida Underwriter and Tech Decisions For Insurance.
