Meet Dolores Atallo

Dolores Atallo is a Firm Director and a tenured leader in the Risk Advisory financial services practice focusing on Enterprise and Operational Risk. She is the National Relationship Leader for the Federal Home Loan Bank System and the National Leader for the Capital Markets Practice for the Deloitte Women’s Initiative.
Dolores has extensive experience assisting clients in building, enhancing and integrating their risk management practices in the areas of Corporate Governance, Enterprise and Operational Risk management, including Sarbanes-Oxley and Basel II readiness. She advises the firm’s banking and financial service clients on the full life cycle of risk management issues, internal control, regulatory compliance management and process transformation. Her engagements focus on managing risk while satisfying client business objectives from envisioning and design to implementation and client sustainability. In this role, she also advises board members and senior management in matters of governance, oversight and risk program implementation and integration, including training and facilitation.
Prior to joining Deloitte & Touche in 1996, Dolores was a charter member of Coopers & Lybrand’s In-Control Services practice. She specialized in matters of operational risk and internal control for the financial services industry and also served as the global professor for COSO training.
Dolores lectures extensively on topics related to enterprise risk management most recently for the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), Fiduciary Investment Risk Management Association (FIRMA), the Professional Risk Managers International Association (PRMIA) and International Financial Services Association (IFSA).
