Catherine Brennan Goheen, Vice President of Human Resources, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan

Cathy joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in 2007 as the vice president of Human Resources. She provides leadership to all human resources functions including human performance and labor relations.  Prior to joining Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Cathy worked at Johnson Controls, Inc. a fortune 100 company in the building efficiency and automotive supplier industry headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In her 15 years at Johnson Controls she held various Human Resources leadership positions with her last role being vice president, human resources, global manufacturing & engineering. Cathy serves on the board of directors for the American Society of Employers and Operation Able which provides training and resources to older residents in Detroit seeking employment. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Sociology from Eastern Michigan University.

Amy Rhode, Manager of Instructors in the Leadership College, Trinity Health

Amy Rhode is the Manager of Instructors in the Leadership College within the Talent Development Department at Trinity Health, based in Livonia, Michigan. As a member of the Talent Development team, her responsibilities include oversight of several executive development programs as well as integrating the organization’s culture and competencies with leadership development initiatives and programs. She coordinates and supports Executive Orientation and Strategic Leadership Program for our top leaders across the system.

Previously, Amy was responsible for implementing an integrated performance management process and tool for Trinity Health leadership. She also serves as a facilitator for the culture transformation initiative, change leadership and is a certified Insights instructor and certified Crucial Conversations facilitator. She has worked extensively in associate engagement, patient loyalty and leadership development in hospital and corporate settings. She has presented at numerous national conferences on topics such as engaging associates and leading change.

Amy’s 25+-year career began as an adult psychiatric nurse after obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from Eastern Michigan University. She is currently in the process of becoming a certified coach.

Lori Boyce, Director – Business Tax Services, Deloitte Tax LLP

Lori joined Deloitte 32 years ago starting out in our audit practice and then moving into tax when she was a manager. She leads our Michigan health care and tax exempt tax practice, is national and regional pro bono tax leader,and regional go to market leader for health care. In addition to working with health care providers, health plans and research institutes, Lori works with many large private foundations on their tax matters and alternative investments. Lori also has significant experience with handling IRS exams.

Alicia Boler-Davis, U.S. Vice President, Customer Experience, General Motors

Alicia Boler-Davis is the U.S. Vice President, Customer Experience, responsible for leading General Motors’ effort to make the way customers are treated a driver for repeat purchases of Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac products and services. Boler-Davis, reports to GM North America President Mark Reuss.

Boler-Davis was previously the plant manager, Orion Assembly and Pontiac Stamping in Michigan.

Boler-Davis started her GM career in 1994 and has served in various engineering leadership positions including Vehicle Line Director/Vehicle Chief Engineer, Small Car; Plant Manager for both Lansing Consolidated Operations and Arlington Assembly. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
