Firm Programs for Students

Our effort to help future generations of business leaders often takes us beyond the classroom, in search of ways to connect with and support students throughout their university experience. From case interviews to community involvement programs, we strive to find meaningful ways to get to know your students and encourage them to get to know us. While these programs are not available on every campus due to timing or availability, we’d like to share them with you so you can, in turn, share them with your students.

Community Involvement Opportunities

Maximum Impact: Deloitte’s Alternative Spring Break
This annual program offers students the opportunity to spend their time off from school helping communities in need while at the same time meeting professionals from Deloitte who can help them gain a better understanding of professional services. These students are selected from schools around the nation based on their applications and essays. These students travel with Deloitte professionals to destinations such as Biloxi, Mississippi; Houston, Texas; and Atlanta, Georgia to work on critical community initiatives. Some of these initiatives include post-hurricane home-rebuilding and repair, landscaping, community space revitalization and improving educational programs in local schools and day care centers. Learn more about Maximum Impact: Deloitte’s Alternative Spring Break.

Local Maximum Impact programs
These programs are one-day events that partner students with Deloitte professionals in a local office to spend time helping their own communities. Run on various campuses throughout the year, this local Maximum Impact program offers an ideal opportunity for students to make connections with people working in professional services and learn more about the work we do and the values we hold dear.

Leadership Opportunities

Deloitte National Leadership Conference
This multi-day event brings together select students from several colleges and universities and professionals from the Deloitte U.S. Firms to participate in career development workshops and activities. Students hone leadership, team-building, interpersonal and negotiation skills in an exciting, dynamic environment, supported by professionals with keen insights into what makes a strong and successful leader. Learn more about the Deloitte National Leadership Conference.

Case Competitions

University Case Competitions
Case competitions are held throughout the year at select universities. Students work in teams on a hypothetical case study outlining a scenario they would encounter as Deloitte professionals in today’s workforce. They are a set number of hours to review the case and apply their knowledge before presenting to a panel of judges. A few of our annual case competitions:

  • Duke University (Consulting – MBA)
  • University of North Carolina (Consulting - MBA)
  • New York University – Stern School of Business (Consulting - MBA)
  • Carnegie Mellon University (Consulting - Technology)
  • University of California, Berkeley (Consulting)
  • Boston College (Consulting – Technology)
  • Deloitte Tax Case Study Competition
  • National Student Case Study Seminar

For more information on the Deloitte Tax Case Study Competition and the National Student Case Study Seminar, please contact the Deloitte Foundation. For all others, contact your school’s Career Center.

We collaborate with Teach For America to provide employment deferrals and full-time career opportunities in specific business areas for qualified applicants who commit to giving two years of service through the program.
