Deloitte Diversity and Women’s Initiative External Advisory Councils

Accountability from the outside in

The Deloitte Diversity and Women’s Initiative External Advisory Councils (EAC) were developed to hold our organization accountable for achieving results based on our strategic goals. Both councils are made up of a unique group of influential leaders who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that provide us with marketplace best practices and challenge us to keep moving forward with recommendations for new programs and initiatives. They meet separately throughout the year and also meet in joint sessions periodically to review results and progress on key performance measures, and provide ongoing external oversight and direction for our leaders.

Members of the WIN External Advisory Council include:

  • Dr. Sally Ride, WIN EAC chair, chairman and CEO, Sally Ride Science
  • Shelly Lazarus, chairman and CEO, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide
  • Pamela Gann, president of Claremont McKenna College
  • Myra Hart, professor emeritus, Harvard Business School, co-founder of Staples
  • Honorable Jane Swift, former Massachusetts governor, founder of WNP Consulting, LLP

Members of the Diversity External Advisory Council include:

  • Alice Young, partner, Asia Pacific Practice, Kaye Scholer LLP
  • Dick Macedonia, CEO emeritus, Sodexo, Inc.
  • David Thomas, professor of business administration, Harvard University Graduate School of Business
  • Manny Espinoza, CEO, ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting)
  • Ric Ramsey, CEO, LEAD (Leadership Education and Development – Minority Youth Business Program)
