A graduate of St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY - Bill Parrett joined the New York audit staff of Haskins & Sells in 1967 and became a partner in 1977. During his 42 year career, he was recognized for his service to global clients in a number of diverse industries. He was a champion of Deloitte industry programs and co-founded the Global Financial Services Industry practice and served as its first chairman. Bill was regional managing partner of New York/ Tri-State during the 1990s, became U.S. Managing Partner in 1999 and Senior Partner of the U.S. firms and Global CEO of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in 2003.
Always active in community service, Bill has served as Chairman of Madison Square Boys and Girls, Chairman of the United Way of America, Chairman of the US Council for International Business, the executive committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, a trustee of The Catholic University of American and of St. Francis College. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Hall.
Bill is an independent member of the Board of Directors of the Blackstone Group, L.P., Eastman Kodak Company, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and UBS, AG.
Bill served on the Boards of Directors of Deloitte and predecessor firms from 1986 until his retirement.
