Research, Awareness and Dialogue
We are committed to helping get more low-income students to and through college. By lending our voice and sharing our research, we hope to advance the dialogue on matters confronting our nation’s education system.
Our research underscores the importance of redefining the mission of high school – from destination to launch pad to college and career success.
- The 2010 Deloitte Education Survey found that more than two-thirds of high school educators believe students are unprepared for higher education. Further, teachers believe that more data on student performance in college will significantly help them to become more effective in the classroom.
- The 2009 National Education Survey revealed a major disconnect between what students and parents want from high school and what educators believe is their charge.
In addition to contributing research, we sponsored a College Summit position paper, "The Promise of Proficiency," which highlights the importance of post-secondary data to help drive student success.
