At Deloitte, we are committed to sharing our professional skills with non-profits that deal with business challenges. To give some of our new MBA recruits an opportunity to use their freshly minted professional skills, we have teamed up with MBAs Without Borders (MWB), an international, not-for-profit organization that brings innovative solutions to developing countries by sending talented MBAs into the international small business community to bring about maximum impact and change.
The MWB program empowers local entrepreneurs in developing countries by matching them with top MBA graduates who offer support on projects such as developing and implementing business plans, launching products and services into new markets, building sales and distribution channels within a country, developing fundraising strategies and managing projects in the field.
At its core, MWB was founded with the belief that business can have a lasting impact on the health and development of communities around the world. At Deloitte, we share those sentiments, and we also believe volunteering in this capacity is a powerful vehicle for leadership development.
