This is the second year that Deloitte in East Africa is conducting the budget championship and is excited to hear the voices and opinions of passionate graduates.
The objective of the essay competition is to encourage graduates to explore theories and practical issues facing them as they prepare to enter their career journey.
We invite you to participate in the regional essay competition on the topic of strategic forward thinking and providing innovative solutions. We ask you to identify the major strengths and weaknesses of a professional services firm. If you were the CEO, what three things would you change and why?

The essays should be submitted to EAChampionship@deloitte.com with the subject line: EA Budget Championship
The competition is divided into two categories: Undergraduates group and Graduates group.
The reviewing procedure is divided into two stages. Five papers will be shortlisted in the first stage. The writers will be invited to make a presentation before the judges in the second stage.
The judges will select the best essays.
Students studying for full-time programs in universities are eligible.
Cash prizes and trophies are awarded to the winners. All participants receive certificates of participation.
In addition, the winner from each country will qualify for a full time internship program at Deloitte in East Africa and will also be invited to the Deloitte East Africa Budget Seminar in June 2012.
