Customs due diligence
For targets in certain industries, customs issues are one of the principal business considerations. In the course of customs due diligence, we analyze the target’s compliance with customs legislation, with respect to the declaration and customs clearance of imported/exported goods, the methodology of customs valuation used for imported/exported goods, correctness of the classification used for imported goods, and the appropriateness of applying a particular customs regime to imported/exported goods.
