Jurgen Hoppenbrouwers, Consulting Director at Deloitte Netherlands, Head of EMEA Advanced Logistics Technologies, shared his experience in improving operational efficiency of large European agricultural company. “The company’s supply chain operation cost has been increasing year-on-year and accounted for the major part of target costs. Despite high output volumes, the company’s further growth and expansion outside Europe were constrained by reduced operational efficiency. Optimisation of the supply chain operations is a key improvement area to support future growth of such companies. In our case, operating costs were reduced down by 20%,” said Jurgen Hoppenbrouwers. During the presentation, he provided detailed explanation of the supply chain assessment system developed by Deloitte, and shared information about the tools allowing to reach a 20% cost reduction for agricultural enterprises.
