Deloitte to sponsor Adam Smith Ukrainian Banking Forum |
On 13-15 November 2012, the seventh annual Adam Smith Ukrainian Banking Forum will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kiev. This is an important event in the Ukrainian banking sector, bringing together experts from various areas of the market, senior officials, representatives of various regulatory authorities and investors. The objective of the forum is to give participants a chance to exchange experiences, discuss strategies and risk management instruments in the banking sector, and to learn about the best practices in management of banking institutions during these times of uncertainty.
Among the speakers at the Forum will be leaders of major financial institutions such as UniCredit Bank, Raiffeisen bank Aval, OTP Bank, ING Bank Ukraine, Morgan Stanley Ukraine and EBRD, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian Parliament and Ministry of Finance and the National Bank of Ukraine.
Among the issues to be addressed during the forum are the impact of regulatory initiatives on the Ukrainian banking sector, the current state of the financial industry, instruments to increase bank capital, effective risk management strategies, and many more.
The event will be sponsored by global professional services firm Deloitte. Victor Lukashuk, a Partner with Deloitte, will act as a moderator during a one-day session at the Forum, and Dmitriy Anufriev, a Deloitte Partner specialising in Corporate Finance Services, will present a report entitled “Sale of non-performing loans: benefits for banks, process, evaluation."
