Deloitte sponsored and participated in the Adam Smith Conference on Agribusiness in Ukraine |
From 15 to 17 March Deloitte sponsored and participated in the Adam Smith Conference on Agribusiness in Ukraine. This event was a unique opportunity for the management from the largest Ukrainian and international agricultural companies, representatives from government authorities, associations and other market players to meet, discuss and shape the future of agribusiness in Ukraine.
The conference united 150 representatives from leading industry producers and service companies, such as the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, Holding Avangard, Astarta Holdings, Danone, EBRD, Sintal, Dakor Agro Holding and the Ministry of Agrarian policy amongst others.
Hot topics of interest were raised at the conference; in particular, a session about the investment potential of the Ukrainian agricultural industry, moderated by Richard Crane a partner from Deloitte UK, generated much interest. Richard also spoke on the topic “Opportunities for Ukrainian Agribusiness. Making a success of capital rising..” The conference participants said that his speech was excellent and very relevant to the current situation in Ukraine.
