Seminar on IFRS – Expert opinion
Global professional services firm Deloitte continues its series of seminars on entrepreneurialism across Ukraine. On 7 December, Deloitte specialists are going to Dnepropetrovsk to meet with senior managers and finance department professionals from a diverse range of companies.
The event will take place in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the European Business Association, Dnepropetrovsk Investment Agency, and Alexander Vilkul, Governor of Dnepropetrovsk Region.
There are two events scheduled which will cover topical issues currently facing businesses, and Deloitte specialists will be delivering the presentation: "Preparing companies for the transition to International Financial Reporting Standards." Among the speakers representing Deloitte will be Yevgenia Nogovitsyna, Audit Senior Manager, Maya Vasylenko, Audit Manager, and Vitaliy Sheremeta, Tax and Legal Manager.
"Transition to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is a very important stage for a company to go through, which not only provides a business with access to capital markets, but also increases the confidence of the company’s partners and clients," commented Yevgenia Nogovitsyna. "Deloitte has extensive experience in implementing similar projects, and during the seminars we will share our experience on the possible ways of transitioning to IFRS, address problems that companies might face during the transition process, and talk about automated software tools for IFRS accounting."
Equally important issues will also be discussed at the Business Club meeting to which the CEOs and CFOs of companies in the Dnepropetrovsk Region have been invited. Among the topics that will be discussed during the Business Club are the following:
Reports on these topics will be presented by three Deloitte professionals: Andriy Bulakh, Audit Partner, Yevgeniy Ratmansky, Tax and Legal Senior Manager, Anna Shalina, Consulting Senior Manager, and Maksim Stopnik, Consulting Manager.
Deloitte has previously conducted similar seminars in Donetsk, Lviv, Kharkiv and Odessa, which have all been great successes. In total, over 200 members of those regional business communities attended these events.
