Office Managing Partner
Michal Petrman is the Office Managing Partner of Deloitte Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. In this capacity, Michal is responsible for the strategy and direction of all Deloitte activities in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Deloitte employs more than 800 specialists in audit and accounting, taxation, finance, consulting and other areas in its six offices, the key ones being located in Prague and Bratislava. Michal has been with Deloitte since 1991 and he is a Czech certified auditor and member of the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic. In addition to his management duties, Michal focuses on providing auditing services to large corporations and banks.
Chairman
Vladimir Masár is the Chairman of the practice in Slovakia. Mr. Masár is oriented towards the market place working together with our partners to understand the needs of our clients and to prepare innovative solutions to the issues they are facing. Mr. Masár is responsible for developing relationships with decision-makers in all sectors of the economy in Slovakia where an international professional services firm could be of service. Mr. Masár was the Governor of the National Bank of Slovakia from July 1993 until July 1999.
Audit Partner
Zuzana Letková is a financial industry expert with more than 13 years of experience. She has overall responsibility for operational management, supervision and quality control of audits performed by the audit department, notably clients operating in the financial services including real esteat . Zuzana is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in United Kingdom and she is a licensed auditor of the Slovak Chamber of Auditors. Her clients include Tatra banka Group, Istrobanka Group, OTP banka Group, BACA Leasing Group, Bratislava Stock Exchange, Komerční banka Bratislava Group, GRUNT, Unibail Rodamco, Wustenrot Insurance and others. Zuzana is also acting as Slovak statutory auditor on real estate investments managed under AXA REIM.
Tax Partner
Steve Gawronski is the Partner-in-Charge of the Tax Department of Deloitte Slovakia. He joined the Slovak tax practice from the United States where he specialised in corporate and transaction income tax planning. His previous work experience includes 3 years as a Senior Tax Planner for British Petroleum where he was responsible for U.S. tax planning for downstream operations, and he also spent 6 years with another "Big Four" accounting firm in the U.S. While in Slovakia, Steve has advised foreign corporations on investing in Slovakia and on the tax ramifications of complex financial structures involving Slovak entities. He holds a master's degree in taxation and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. His clients include US Steel, Nafta, Orange, Deutsche Telekom, Slovak Telekom and Slovenské Elektrárne.
Financial Advisory Partner in Charge
Iain Child is the Partner-in-Charge of the Financial Advisory practice in the Czech and Slovak Republic and the Deloitte Central Europe regional Financial Advisory practice. He has over 10 years of professional experience in the Central European region. Iain holds a Bachelor´s Degree in Economics and Business Economics from the University of Hull, UK and is a Member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants. He has led numerous transactions in Slovakia and throughout the CE region, and is recognised for his ability to successfully structure both buy-and sell-side strategies for enterprises and investors. Iain has played a key role in Deloitte’s services to US Steel over a number of years. Other areas in which he specialises include financial modelling, diagnostic company reviews, valuations capital raising and structuring of investment memoranda for both commercial and institutional investors.
Enterprise Risk Services Partner
Marián Hudák is a partner, leading Enterprise Risk Services in Slovakia. Since November 2005 he also assumes a leadership role of Control Assurance service line (IT risk management, Sarbanes-Oxley services, Business process risk management) in Slovakia and Czech Republic. He has a considerable experience in the area of EURO transformation, Sarbanes-Oxley services, business process risk and controls, internal audit services and information systems risk management projects. Mr. Hudák has an extensive experience in auditing of financial institutions, telecommunications and utility companies.
