Channels for whistleblowing opening in Singapore |
THERE may be sea changes afoot in whistleblowing policy reform in Singapore following the recommendation contained in the February 10 report to Parliament by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
The call for the government to spell out a whistleblowing policy for adoption by statutory boards will no doubt come as good news for senior employees of statutory boards grappling with implementing and improving corporate governance in their organisations.
The fifth report of the PAC covered issues of governance in the light of the fraud cases involving IT procurement at the Singapore Land Authority and two other public sector bodies.
