The international anti-corruption landscape is set to undergo significant changes.
Until recently, multinational companies have had to ensure that they comply with anti-corruption laws in the countries where they have operations and, in some instances, with the United States’ Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), which has international application.
On 8 April 2010, the United Kingdom’s new Bribery Act (Bribery Act) was passed into law and is expected to come into force before the end of the year. This will complicate the situation somewhat further.
