Fuelling the Asian growth engine

Survey on intra-Asia global mobility challenges, strategies and trends

How are businesses with Asian operations utilising intra-Asian mobility strategies when deploying talent within Asia Pacific?

Let us know what you think by participating in our survey here.

The 2013 survey aims to explore the intra-Asian mobility strategies being engaged when deploying talent within Asia Pacific, focusing specifically on localizing expatriates, hiring local foreign nationals and permanently transferring individuals between intra-Asian locations.

Over half of the organizations surveyed in the 2012 survey reported they move employees across borders to meet business/ staffing needs however only one third regularly look for suitable candidates overseas. This poses the question of whether a specific intra- Asia mobility strategy is required to meet the demands of the Asian talent market.

The 2013 survey aims to draw out the key trends relating to localisation practices, in addition to exploring the key approaches from a policy and compensation perspective that companies are engaging when recruiting foreign local hires. The survey will also explore the use of permanent transfer policies for intra-regional moves in particular drawing out trends on policy components and the use of these policies from a strategic perspective.

The target audience for this survey is senior HR professionals - Heads of HR, Talent, Reward / C&B or Mobility and senior HR Business Partners from global organisations with Asian operations or local Asian organisations.
