Homegrown MatchMove is Singapore’s Fastest Growing Technology Company in the Asia Pacific rankings, with 902% revenue growth
Singapore, 27 December, 2013 – Deloitte Singapore today announced that MatchMove Global Pte Ltd (“MatchMove”) ranked 25th out of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in the 2013 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific ranking. Now in its twelfth successful year, the Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific programme ranks the 500 fastest-growing technology firms in the region.
MatchMove is a digital entertainment and social enterprise solution provider that helps online businesses increase revenue, user engagement and loyalty through the strategic use of gamification, social networking and mobile commerce platforms. The company also developed its proprietary and patent-pending AppKungFu™ technologies, enabling standard web sites to be converted – sometimes in just a few hours – to a full Web 2.0 and mobile experience using a wide range of application programming interfaces and ready-made widgets for social, games and e-commerce transactions. Over the three-year period, MatchMove grew its revenue by 902 percent.
“Singapore is generating an increasing number of fast-growing, successful technology companies especially in the Interactive Digital Media (IDM) space. In a recent Deloitte study, we have seen Singapore rapidly establishing itself as the regional hub for IDM that is well-poised to capitalise on the upward growth of the technology sector in the region’s markets,” said John Goeres, Deloitte Southeast Asia’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications Industry Leader.
Headquartered in Singapore with offices across Asia and the United States, MatchMove has a combined base of more than 250 million users today. Increasingly, its major customers are also using the MatchMove platform to replace internal emails with the AppKungFu™ powered social networking, business process gamification and enterprise widgets to increase productivity across their enterprises.
Mr Shailesh Naik, CEO of MatchMove, said, “At MatchMove, we aim to enable businesses to achieve their strategic outcomes through the use of technology platforms that are secure, flexible, customisable and on-demand. As the exclusive digital entertainment and social enterprise solution provider for many global brands and telecom, media and entertainment companies, we understand that time is often of the essence. That is why our cloud-based MatchMove solution enables clients to rapidly develop and deploy their own branded games and apps store with full-featured social networking, monetisation and e-commerce options: what would normally take them 2 years is often done in less than 2 weeks.”
Asia Pacific Trends
Developed markets have made a big comeback in the ranking this year, with Australia contributing 66 companies to the top 500, its third year of consecutive growth. And Japan, joint fifth with New Zealand at 40 companies in the top 500, was the only primarily national market to feature twice in the top five, with Internet companies Locondo and Donuts.
China and India also are challenging Taiwan’s traditional lead as the reservoir of Asia Pacific‘s fastest-growing TMT companies, coming first and third this year in terms of the number of companies each has contributed to the top 500 – 128 and 78 companies respectively – while Taiwan slips into second place with 108.
A total of three Singapore companies made it to the ranking, all of them emerging within the top 100 of the list. MatchMove at no. 25 is followed by JamiQ Private Ltd at no. 29 and 2C2P Pte Ltd at no. 100.
