Deloitte Valuation & Modeling professionals are drawn from a multitude of backgrounds and are able to navigate the barriers of time, language, currency and culture to serve our clients. With 44 partners and nearly 600 staff members around the world, we combine an integrated global approach with extensive industry experience and local knowledge to address the complex needs of our clients.
Our team has vast experience in estimating the values of business and equity, in accordance with local and International Valuation Standards, as well as providing comprehensive value analysis for an array of industries and a variety of different purposes (M&A, financial reporting, restructuring, etc.). We use a complex approach, based on a variety of methods (DCF, comparable company analysis, preceding transaction analysis, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis), which allows us to obtain theoretically grounded valuation results and to point out the main value drivers.
Our experts have performed numerous fixed asset valuations. The Deloitte approach in this field ranges from replacement cost analysis, market transaction analysis and economic depreciation calculations, through to income approach methods.
The principal driver behind purchase price allocation (PPA) is to bring greater transparency to the acquisition process, to identify and value the assets being acquired, and to arrive at the net residual amount that will be attributed to goodwill. We provide PPA services for financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP, including the identification and valuation of the acquired firm’s intangible assets associated with the acquired firm. Our approach to the valuation of intangible assets includes market methods, income methods and cost methods.
Our team members have wide-ranging expertise in financial modeling, and offer the financial modeling services that can help our clients to accurately assess the financial implications of existing and potential value drivers, and to work out tailored optimization strategies. Conducting comprehensive modeling, scenario-based analysis and simulation exercises, provides insight into the implications of industry trends for business, along with any potential risks. This helps our clients to deal with uncertainty and make well-founded managerial decisions with regard to financial investments, resource allocations and planning decisions.
