“Taking into account the fact that the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 rating for EMEA is based on sustained income growth over 5-year period, the mere inclusion into this rating is a considerable achievement. In 2011 as opposed to the previous year, four Russian companies - ER-Telecom, Kaspersky Lab, Rosservice, and Center of Financial Technologies – were included in the rating. In spite of a lack of economic stability, the position of Russian companies in the rating in general became stronger”, Olga Tabakova, a partner and leader of Deloitte CIS Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice, commented.
Rosservice that left behind all Russian companies in 2010 has lost its leadership to ER-Telecom. A telecom operator with income growth of 6,858% over the last 5 years holds a confident leadership position among CIS companies.
“The high position of ER-Telecom in the rating is evidence of successful development of Russian companies and their ability to compete at the global market. Telecommunication sector has not yet realized its full potential and is still to surprise the world. Deloitte makes the capabilities of the Russian companies included in the rating visible to the global market. We are not going to rest on the laurels and hope that in the coming years ER-Telecom will move even higher up the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 rating for the EMEA region”, Andrei Semerikov, general director of ER-Telecom, said.
