In October 2009, Deloitte Tax launched the “Romanian Taxation – X-Ray of an Incomplete Reform”, the first CFO survey on Romanian taxation with over 130 CFOs from top companies identifying the main gaps of the Romanian fiscal system. At that time, most respondents indicated that legislation on various taxes is complicated and often causes contradictions between business cases. Also, relationship with authorities remained a controversial aspect and insufficient professional training was one of the reasons.
Deloitte Tax Academy is the direct result of this Tax Survey.
No matter if the fiscal legislation is complex or controversial, all companies must comply. Therefore, our program’s main purpose is to help companies cope with the fiscal legislation and to offer tools to successfully challenge the tax authorities.
We decided to share our international knowledge and local expertise during training sessions that would actually teach participants how to put tax into practice.
