Support for investments in priority sectors and of considerable importance for Polish economy
On the 13th of August, 2013 Polish Government has accepted resolution changing Programme of support of investments of considerable importance for Polish economy, which aims to increase innovativeness and competitiveness of Polish economy, for investments carried out by Polish and foreign companies. New conditions facilitate access to Government Grants for the so called significant investments, as well as in the modern services sector and R&D. Modifications included, among other issues, lowering of the minimum investment value as well as number of declared new employees. Regulations concerning project localization have also been simplified.
Enterprises planning new investments in priority sectors for Polish economy (automotive, electronic, aviation, biotechnology, modern services, research and development) or significant investments in terms of expenditures and employment growth in other than priority sectors, may apply for grants of up to PLN 15 600 per one new workplace or up to 10% of eligible costs of the investment. Support for entrepreneurs investing in Eastern Poland has also been increased – they can obtain 20% higher co-financing for a new workplace or 5% higher for investment costs.
The allocation for the Programme in years 2011-2020 is PLN 686,4 M.
Currently, the Programme is an alternative for European Union structural funds, which due to the end of the financial perspective 2007-2013 are almost entirely distributed.
Call for proposals is an ongoing procedure.
