Deloitte has an opportunity to play a significant part in furthering the mission of the World Economic Forum at Davos to "improve the state of the world." This is a discussion about business in the wider fabric of society, and how it helps improve lives and drive progress. On Wednesday, 25 January, Global CEO Barry Salzberg will participate in “The New Context for Leadership,” a panel discussion on the fundamental changes that the art and science of leadership are undergoing in the 21st century.
Dimensions to be addressed include:

- Collaborating across the multistakeholder spectrum
- Revealing inspiring role models for the current generation

Business, Governance, and Leadership: New Pressures and Realities
Also on 25 January, Barry Salzberg will serve as a discussion leader during a World Economic brainstorming session, "Business, Governance, and Leadership: New Pressures and Realities." During the session, Salzberg—along with a host of government, education, business, and professional services leaders from around the globe—will explore three questions:
- What is society's expectation of business?
- What should the role of business in society be?
- What needs to change in terms of business's responsibility towards its stakeholders and vice versa?
The discussion will be facilitated by BBC World News presenter Nik Gowing.

World Economic Forum Partnership Against Corruption Initiative (PACI)
The PACI's mission is to develop multi-industry principles and practices that will result in a competitive level playing field, based on integrity, fairness, and ethical conduct. The PACI places the private sector in a unique position to guide governments' and international organizations' strategies and policies on anticorruption and has built strong relationships with the key players and institutions from the global anticorruption landscape. Steve Almond, Chairman of the DTTL Board of Directors, will participate in the PACI meeting at Davos.
