2014 New Zealand Government Budget

Against the backdrop of an election year, and what some have called a “rock star” economy, Finance Minister Bill English has delivered Budget 2014 to the nation. After six Budgets, the country’s books are back in black, with surpluses projected to increase in future years. But the surplus is no more than a marker along an economic journey. How does Budget 2014 affect the speed and direction of travel for our economy?
