Thomas is the Chief Executive of Deloitte New Zealand and a Partner in the Wellington Tax Practice. Prior to his current role Thomas was the Managing Tax Partner Deloitte New Zealand. He continues to act for some of New Zealand’s largest corporates and advises extensively on tax policy, international tax and mergers and acquisitions.
If you ask Thomas what’s most enjoyable and rewarding he will say it’s helping clients navigate through their tax challenges to implement solutions that work for them. The demand for practical solution-based advice has never been greater given the heightened mobility of capital and labour, and a context of more technical complexity. It’s something that he has been doing for more than two decades with no two projects ever being the same.
