Vintage 2008New Zealand wine industry benchmarking survey |
In conjunction with New Zealand Wine Growers, we bring you the third annual financial benchmarking survey of the New Zealand wine industry. Given the publicity around the increased grape harvest for the 2008 vintage, as well as the global economic downturn, we have been interested to track the effects on the financial wellbeing of wineries in this year’s wine survey.
As in previous years, the exercise has revealed some interesting perspectives and we are pleased this year to be able to offer insights from the accumulation of three years data, as well as comparison with the Australian Vintage 2008 survey. The generally positive trend from past years continues and it appears New Zealand wineries are currently faring better than their Australian counterparts.
