Consequences of Tabaksblat for the audit committee

The supervisory function within organizations has received a lot of attention in recent developments regarding corporate governance. Within this framework the role of the audit committee has come into focus as well. The Tabaksblat Code has given a more explicit description of the tasks and responsibilities of the audit committee. Also, the audit committee’s range of duties has been broadened.

Deloitte has made an overview of the tasks and responsibilities of the audit committee according to the Tabaksblat Code principles. We have also set up a detailed working programme. You can use this as a guide to the execution of the activities of your audit committee. We can also help you to set up an audit committee or to execute activities.
