Sustainability as a company strategy

Rooted in ideology, sustainable business practices have evolved into full fledged growth strategies. Moving from a moral obligation to new opportunities for generating business. Sustainability has become an integral part of regular business strategies. And, at the same time, it offers the possibility to improve the financial performance of a company.

Analyses a company and the role sustainable business practices play within that organisation. What’s more, it highlights the areas with a competitive edge, as well as the opportunities to improve business processes.

Sustainability Value Map:

  • Shows how sustainability is integrated in the business operations.
  • Puts sustainability activities in a commercial framework.
  • Shows the direct relationship between shareholder value and stakeholder value

The Sustainability Value Map identifies optimization opportunities to create sustainable commercial value, providing a justification for investments in sustainability.

Business Simulation Game:

A game played online (bespoke) that visualises the financial and sustainable effects of decision-making within a company in the long run. Not a sustainability game, but a playful tool that teaches participants to recognise the value of thinking holistically. When playing the game, all layers of a company will gain more understanding and willingness vis-à-vis sustainability, ensuring a more rapid implementation and growth.

The above tools open up new vistas on where sustainability positively affects the financial performance in the business operations. Once the chances have been uncovered, Deloitte will assist the entrepreneur with implementing the most effective solution.
