Public interest in pensions and related social services has increased and not just because of the current economic environment. However regulations concerning pensions and old-age are complex.
Retirement regulations have grown more complex because of continual amendments to make them more specific and flexible. Employers and pension-fund administrators carry the burden of having to clarify the ever changing rules and regulations. Cost control also weighs more heavily on the employer and pension-fund administrator. Furthermore, retirement regulations and their implementation are liable to substantial changes in legislation.
