Deloitte’s Trade Survey 2008 |
Annual negotiations between retailers and suppliers are often difficult and focused primarily on price and margin. The pressure on consumer prices and the rise in prices of raw materials shrink the total margin that can be split between retailers and suppliers. The Deloitte Trade Survey 2008 highlights three topics:
- the various market forces that are driving the need for collaboration
- the ways in which such collaboration can
be stimulated - and the current trend towards preferred partnerships
