Peter Bommel (1961) is a partner with over 25 years of professional experience. After graduating in business economics in 1986, he worked at an international audit firm for the first 5 years, following which he held (international) financial management positions for 8 years. Peter joined Deloitte in 1999 and he was the leader of the Industry Group Energy & Utilities of Deloitte Netherlands from 2002 to 2007.
Peter was Global Leader of the Energy & Resources group of Deloitte from 2008 to 2011. Since June 2011, Peter has been the Managing Partner of the audit practice of Deloitte in the Netherlands. On 1 January 2012, Peter was appointed deputy CEO of Deloitte’s Executive Board Netherlands. On 22 June 2012, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Netherlands.
Peter has a degree in business economics and accountancy from VU Amsterdam. He also graduated as a US Certified Public Accountant at the University of Delaware.
