Indirect tax
The Deloitte indirect tax service team offers advice and consulting on a wide range of services related to indirect taxes and associated activities including incentives, importing and exporting, customs and excise, and value added tax (VAT).
The Indirect Tax team is a specialised service offering in Namibia and provides, among others, the following services:
- Assurance reviews (“mini audits”)
- Compliance (returns and registrations)
- Savings reviews (finding of savings – generally on a contingent basis)
- Facilitating VAT audits (the team has an excellent track record and has a relationship of mutual respect)
- Opinions and related work (critical legal analyses, and Receiver of Revenue directives)
- Structuring
- Training (tailor-made workshops/seminars)
- Drafting of objections and appeals
The team also consults to various multinationals domestically and abroad and has established itself as what we believe to be the pre-eminent Indirect Tax practice in Namibia.
