Datuk Azman Mohd Zain - Senior partner

Datuk Azman Mohd Zain is the consulting leader for Malaysia and Southeast Asia; and a senior partner of the firm. He is a seasoned practitioner with 30 years of experience helping clients develop business strategy and transform operation, organisation and people. Azman has worked extensively across a variety of industries for both the public and private sectors in Malaysia and abroad.

Apart from leading the practice, Azman is an integral member of the panel of judges who presided over SMIDEC-Deloitte’s Enterprise 50 Award, an awards programme for Malaysian small and medium enterprises. For a number of years, he has also served on the judging panel for the Business Times’ Malaysia CEO of the Year Award.

Azman graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelors degree (Honours) in Applied Science in 1974. He went on to obtain his MBA in 1976 at Roth Graduate school of Business, Long Island University in New York.

Andrew Lee - Executive director

Andrew Lee is an executive director of Deloitte Consulting Malaysia. He is in charge of Deloitte Consulting Malaysia’s strategy & operations and human capital practices. A talented public speaker, Andrew has the uncanny ability to dissect consulting issues and problems into manageable parts and explain the solution laced with his famed analogies. He is very goal oriented and frequently inspires others to fulfill their potential and empowers them to do so.

Andrew is vastly experienced in the consulting arena. He has 17 years of management and strategy and financial consulting experience for government, multi-national companies and listed and private enterprises. Prior to joining Deloitte, he was an executive director with HRM Business Consulting, and prior to that, he was a senior manager with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting.

He is very active in thought leadership and public speaking forums. Andrew has participated and spoken at seminars and events organised by the Annual Malaysian CFO Summit, Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). Andrew has a Bachelor of Engineering from University College Dublin, Republic of Ireland. He is also a CA of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Currently, he is a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers, London and a member of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland.

Clarence Chua - Manager

Clarence Chua is a manager attached to the Human Capital Services Group.

Clarence is part of the Organisation, Change & Talent, HR Transformation and Total Rewards team. He has 6 years of combined Human Capital/HRMS Implementation experience, and with recent project management experiences within the scope of Talent Strategy, Organisation & Job Design, Competency Modelling, Job Evaluation, and Compensation & Benefits benchmarking. 

Prior to joining Deloitte, he was a senior consultant with KZen Solutions in support of KaiZen HR human resource management system. His responsibilities included (among others) Time Management, Performance Management, ESOS Solutions, and HR Administration & Security systems implementation. He is also a certified user of Thomas International Management Systems. 

Clarence holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. 

Nelly Yong - Manager

Nelly Yong is a manager, leading the talent acquisition services team of the Human Capital Services Group.

She enjoys working, dealing, and interacting with people. In many consulting assignments, Nelly is both passionate and committed to providing the best solutions to meet her clients’ talent acquisition objectives as well as to continuously strive to achieve optimum results and clients’ satisfaction.

Nelly has 4 years of consulting experience in the executive search and selection environment with proven track record in placing candidates from middle to senior management levels across various industries from multinational corporations to Fortune 1000 companies, covering both local and overseas positions.

Nelly has knowledge and experience in using competency-based interviewing techniques and Thomas International profiling tools to assess candidates. She also has experience in organising and conducting assessment centers to assess large group of candidates.

Prior to joining Deloitte, she was a regional consultant working for a well-established international executive search firm. Nelly holds a Bachelor Degree in business studies majoring in Marketing and International Business Management from Charles Sturt University, Australia.

Evelyn Chue - Manager

Evelyn is a manager attached to Thomas International (Malaysia).

Prior to joining Thomas International Malaysia, Evelyn was engaged with Direct Results Asia Pacific Consultancy as a senior corporate consultant. She has 4 years of experience specialising in the field of psychometric assessments for the use of individual, divisional and organisational development. She has been involved and conducted corporate training that covers Team Synergy, Conflict Resolution, Personal Motivation Assessment, and Communication Enhancement programs.

With the application of well-recognised certifications, she has personally consulted and trained individuals both locally and regionally ranging from executive level to top managerial level from diversified industries. Her role is also to assist managers in taking up HR initiatives and develops existing practical and progressive HR/People management strategies along with these responsibilities includes managing several key accounts in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

Evelyn received her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Business and Information Technology from University of Conventry, UK and a few years later, she pursued her 2nd education qualification on BSc in Psychology of Upper Iowa University, United States. Recently, she has completed a professional Certification Course of Clinical Hypnosis from London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH), UK.
