Deloitte named best place to launch a career

For the second time in three years, Deloitte U.S. has been named No. 1 on BusinessWeek magazine’s 50 Best Places to Launch a Career ranking.

After being at the top of the list in 2007, Deloitte U.S. has reclaimed its prize as the crown jewel of organizations for students and career services directors. BusinessWeek recognized Deloitte U.S.’s rich benefits, generous time-off policy, substantially higher pay for entry-level hires, and extensive training programs.

“Being ranked number one is an especially great honour. The ranking both recognises our ability to attract top talent and tells a compelling story about how the Deloitte workplace is experienced by our young professionals,” said Cathy Benko, chief talent officer, Deloitte LLP.

BusinessWeek’s analysis gathers feedback from students, college career counsellors, and employees to reveal which companies offer the biggest advantages for interns and entry-level employees in the areas of training, compensation and benefits, and career development programs.

Paul Mercieca, our Managing Partner states that Deloitte Malta is making great strides to emulate our US colleagues and we are excited about our Deloitte Pathway programme which we shall be launching at the Careers Convention 2-6 November 2009 at the University of Malta.
