Coal Mongolia 2013

Last week, on February 21-22, Deloitte Onch successfully participated as a proud Sponsor in the International Conference and Exhibition “Coal Mongolia 2013” in Ulaanbaatar.  At the event, Deloitte Onch’s Country Managing Partner, Dendevsambuu Onchinsuren, gave an insightful presentation on Mongolian tax highlights and legal issues facing the coal industry. Deloitte Onch’s booth was one of the busiest meeting points where both existing and potential Clients met our Leadership Team and exchanged views and heard our professional outlook on the mining sector for 2013.  Deloitte’s consulting team lead by Norjinbat involved in number of discussions with the clients on improving business processes and implementing value-added enterprise business management solutions to improve efficiency and cut down operating costs at times of market downturn.  Visitors appreciated our thought provoking and timely thought leadership series by Deloitte – “Mining trends for 2013”.

“Coal Mongolia 2013” was the third annual International Conference and Exhibition for Coal Investors. This year’s conference was held very timely and more than 700 government officials, ambassadors, investors and representatives from industry associations, investment funds, banking and financial institutions, coal exploration and production companies attended the event. The conference openly discussed impacts of the newly drafted Minerals Law and the challenges facing the Mongolia’s coal sector.
