Deloitte – Best Financial Advisory 2011 |
Deloitte Latvia has won The Best Financial Advisory Project in 2011 award from the Latvian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. The award was earned for successfully completed project where Deloitte assisted the client to obtain Latvian State corporate income tax incentive for the capital investments.
Director of the financial advisory department in Deloitte Latvia Raimonds Kulbergs is honored to receive the award: “To receive this kind of appreciation from the Latvian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association is an honor for us, especially considering that the association represents the leading venture capital companies and advisors in Latvia. “Dobeles Dzirnavnieks” AS was the only company in 2011, which received tax incentive from The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia for the planned capital investment. Intensive work and cooperation with the client resulted in successful outcome. Total tax savings for the company are expected to exceed 2 million euro. Such a significant state support for development projects is interesting not only to the members of Latvian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, but also to many corporates who plan expansion. This transaction complemented Deloitte’s extensive experience in such projects, as Deloitte served two out of the three Latvian companies who had been granted such a tax incentive in prior years.”
Deloitte assisted the company in preparing document package required for the submission to Ministry of Economics (financial forecasts, business plan, application forms, justification of tax incentive), as well as undertook project management, addressed in advance potential issues and communicated with the responsible authorities.
