Jean-Marc Goy is the Counsel for International Affairs of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF). His task is to ensure the communication and relations with foreign supervisory authorities, in particular in relation to investment funds.
He represents the CSSF in a number of international forums, such as the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) Investment Management Standing Committee and its sub groups, the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), the Enlarged Contact Group on the Supervision of Collective Investment Schemes and the Institut Francophone de la Régulation Financière (IFREFI).
He has also represented Luxembourg in meetings of the Working Groups of Financial Attachés to the European Council active in the field of drafting the UCITS III and the UCITS IV directives.
He lectures in investment fund regulation at the University of Luxembourg.
Before joining the CSSF in 1998, Jean Marc Goy worked over a number of years as an attorney at law for a Luxembourg law firm
He studied law at the University of Montpellier (France), where he earned a Master of Laws degree and a postgraduate degree in intellectual property law.
Besides Luxembourgish, which is his mother tongue, he speaks French, German, English and Spanish.
